Gav1982
Hi Am new to this but looking for some advice. I have a 2004 54 plate fusion with 16 inch alloys but am looking for some steels. I have found some used steels from 2009 fiesta. Both are 4 stud should they fit my car ok and do i need to buy new nuts or can I use my alloy wheel nuts thanks

isetta
re nuts. I had a 2007 fiesta with standard alloys. because those cars came with a steel spare, the nuts were made so they could be used on the alloy wheel and the steel wheel. On the alloy wheel, the shoulder (part way up the nut) pressed on the wheel (with a captive washer), on the steel wheel the bottom of the nut pressed on the wheel and was angled like a normal steel wheel nut would be. I changed my car from alloys to steels and used those nuts. the annoying thing was, the captive washers rattled as they were not pressing on anything when used on the steel wheels. So I put a little bit of silicon bathroom sealant on each washer to stop them rattling (need to let sealant set before driving). My brother now owns that car. It's been like that for 7 years now. I do not know if your wheel nuts are same dual purpose type
