1.8 duratec ticking swirl flaps

Hi , i ahve swirl flaps ticking noise. can i block both the part on the manifold and the little vacuum hose,with  a small screw?

can i drive like that?

Couldn't I, just to be on the safe side, pull off the vacuum hose and drive with it off permanently, and not replacing the flaps?

and ticking noise is only when engine is cold, sound goes away after 5min

and i also heard that 

the flaps on Focus is not the same as Mondeo Mk3 engine. On Focus QQDb engine , the flaps is not sold. need a complete inlet manifold
