I believe the thule ProRide 591 also fits the 3.5 which what I use on my MK3, very good and stable even at high speeds with a few mountain bikes, good with all bike sizes mine being a XL frame with 29" wheels.

How many bikes do you want carry and are you concerned about damaging the bike or car finish ?

I've had several different makes and found many can damage the finish of the bike or scratch/dent the car.   For my carbon MTB I use a a Yakima Frontloader on my roof bars.   This holds the bike by its wheels and there is no frame contact.

I'd be carrying a maximum of 2 bike and yes I do not want to damage the car and would like a rear mounted rack

I used the thule 9105 rear tray track and unfortunately it scratched the car where it clips to the top and bottom of the hatch lid.  It also damaged the finish on the bike because it  clamps the frame and grip/dust etc acts like sandpaper.

I haven't tried racks that vacuum "suck" to the hatch glass as I'm not sure I like the idea.  Another option if you have a tow bar is rack that attaches to the bar.

I use the Ford roof bars fitted with thule 591's.

I really wanted a rear carrier but found most of them will damage the rear spoiler.
