Ford Fiesta 1.25 2000 NO HEAT!

Hi all,

The heating in my Fiesta 1.25 2000 stopped working about 4 years ago and I had the heater control valve replaced and it fixed the problem. 

But a few months back it stopped working again, I have replaced the heater control valve again today but it still won't pass heat through inside the car.

 

Everything warms up fine and temperature gauge stays about halfway when warmed up i.e no overheating issues etc...

 

any advice would be appreciated.

Could possible be a faulty heater control valve?

Might sound daft but have you checked the coolant level? Quite often causes heating to stop working

Otherwise try giving it a bleed.

Hi all, I have replaced the heater control valve the other day and the coolant level is on the max line. 

 

the pipes at the bulk head get warm but the ones going into the heater matrix after the control valve are cold? 

 

Is it possible the heater matrix is blocked not allowing coolant to flow through?

Hi I have a 99 1.25, and over the xmas period i had the same problem. I replaced the hcv and had a full working heater again. Then it died again. Turned out to be hcv again. So i have bypassed the hcv and , although i have constant heat, it works. I will be getting a new hcv at some point. Might also be worth flushing system again just to make sure there is no obstructions.
