Oil In Air Filter Hose

On my 2006 TDCi, I get oil leaking from from the rocker cover breather pipe (which goes from the rocker cover into the main air filter hose). I also get some oil contamination in the air filter. Is this normal or should I be concerned. The plastic clip connector is not particularly tight so this may be causing the oil on the engine. Is there any "give" in yours if you wiggle it about, or is this looseness the norm?

I had the injector seals replaced recently to tackle the oil leak on the engine (which i was told was in fact diesel) but the problem is still there, so it seems that was £170 spent for nothing.

where the pipe meets the air filter box on the iside there should be a small square nsection that a small filter fits into to catch any oil vapour you get them with the new filters in the box sounds normal to me

Do you mean between the MAF sensor and the air filter itself?

There's a sort of "filter" beyond the MAF sensor if I look up there, its a sort of plastic mesh, but I cant see an actual filter proper (one that can be disposed of and renewed).

I'm a little concerned about the breather hose connector tho. Seems to have far too much give in it for my liking.

im no sure if the airbox on the diesel is the same but if yoiu removed the top off the airbox and take out the filter theres a small section there where a small spongue filter goes to catch oil and oil vapour
