I must say.. They don't realise how lucky they are to have Ed on their side.. He's a great mechanic with simple cheap solutions where they're appropriate but the know how to carry out practically any work you could think of! Then there's mike.. The man who pronounces every word as 1 syllable! I'm all for accent & lazy speech (being from Yorkshire) but he takes it to a whole new level! I often skip the first 5 minutes of the episode if I'm catching up online as he irritates me.. Then I'm zoned out watching it till the end :)

Have you watched any of their "trading up" episodes? Not too sure wether I like it or not.. All seems abit plotless

I've been watching street outlaws on Discovery Turbo gotta love the farm truck :)

They go "fishing" basically stick a pizza delivery sign on the roof of the truck and ask random car enthusiasts to race for money then smoke em because the farm trucks a sleeper

A friend just suggested debadging the front grill but im not sure what i think of it. Ive mocked this up on photoshop. I'd never do it as it looks abit plain but just wondering what you guys think of it :)

My car's almost 11 years old & the maximum for free replacement badges is 10 years.. If only I had known about free replacements when I bought the car! Could've saved £15! :(

Boy racers don't go to the trouble and effort to install Focal and JL audio components. They get the biggest 12 inch sub with the biggest peak power output and stick it in the boot to rattle the neighbourhood lol.

Your car is definitely NOT boy racer. Much more enthusiast car. Btw, I meant to say to you that you should think about putting it in the next Uk Ford Fair coz I think that once it's all done, it will make others realise the potential of this car :)

Got to say thats probably one of the bigger compliments ive had about the car! Id love to go to ford fair! been thinking about it since i bought the car but ive never really looked into it! 2nd august & tickets are £18 online.. loads cheaper than i expected (£24 on gate but still..) Do you know what's included in that price? as the website is pretty vague unless everything is just that one price? :D

So down to bad weather & darkness falling early today's project was to drink as much coffee as possible & make a storage rack for my tassimo! Felt strange to be making something out of MDF that's not for the car!

So far that's what I've got... Need to make another shelf out of 6mm MDF and complete the top of the frame out of 9mm MDF. Then in sealing it & spraying it some fancy "wood textured paint" just to see what it's like! If I don't like it then I'll just scrape it off and paint if black :D

I've been looking at inverters but the prices are so high for true 1300w ones (well, 1500w so there's some headroom) I may or may not have made the holder for the pods the right size to fit the back of the rear seats...

Tassimo does over 36 difference drinks/flavours. I'm not usually a coffee fan but I'm taking the opportunity to try new drinks... Anything with the word "caramel" written on it and it's mine!!

It does Coffee's, got chocolates, tea's & a few other odd bits! The foam that it makes from the milk is great considering it's such a low pressure Single serve machine

Simply put the disk/pod in and it reads the barcode to know how much water, heat & pressure to dispense. Most drinks are multipack.. So milk then flavour etc

Warning to you all.. Stay away from Oreo got chocolate. The smell and taste is like plastic.. It's Actually vile!

Not too sure what it includes. Maybe some other members who been to it in the past could help out. I remember seeing the pictures from last year and it did look like a big turnout and lots of fun. So wish I could bring the car over to the UK for it.

Reckon once you have the car finished, it would definitely be a great addition to the fair. Like, how many Fiestas are out there with Focals and JL audio subs? ;)

I can do this easily as I have wired the vibe Fastplug male on car power feed & male on the capacitor feed to amp. This means I can just connect the female of the amp to the male plug of the car! Sorted!

Seem to be having problems with battery drain overnight.. I've had my battery tested and it's fine. I've unplugged both the amps & the cap and had no drain... As soon as the capacitor is connected there's a parasitic drain... Hmmm. I've tried discharging & recharging it to no avail

Any ideas?

there's a sensor feed input on most modern capacitors jut the same as those on the amps which shuts down the capacitor on ignition,

You may consider selling the capacitor for a 1fared which supports the sensor feed line and is more suited to your install.

Ill be purchasing a 1.0 Fared close to the end of this month,

If you would like to try it out and see if it solves your problem i can have it shipped to your address as i dont need it until March,

If it solves the problem you can either pay me for it in febuary or send it on to me and buy your own ill give you a UK address to ship it to in the event of shipping, just an idea :)

Check your connections on the sensor feeds,

And check if the capacitor has a sensor feed input first,

I reckon by the capacitor being 2.0 fared its consuming too much power from the battery to maintain its optimum capacity,

Its optimum capacity is ready for an amp demanding 2000watts but your only running 500watts from it at full belt.

Another option is sourcing a relay for the 4AWG power line,

The relay would filter the line aswell as fit to a piggy back fuse on an ignition feed,

Results: the audio gets power only when the ignition is live,

This would save you unplugging the amps or changing the capacitor
