chrisroberson99
Sorry to hear this James :( My family has more health problems than I could list. The main ones being my mum having Crohn's disease and having just found out my dad has lung cancer. Also my great aunt has pancreatic cancer and my cousins boyfriend died in a car accident last week. So we are not doing too well at the minute. Hope you feel better soon and keep going! It's nearly Christmas lol
jeebowhite
Sorry to hear it mate all these cancers are not good for any individual and they can suffocate a family. I really hope these cancers are destroyed soon!
Lenny
Babies are tougher than we give them credit for! My oldest and dearest friend had a little boy backin February. He suddenly stopped breathing - luckily his Mum was there and had the presence of mind to administer CPR. Turns out he had a hole in his heart. To look at the little bugger now, you wouldn't even think he'd had a cold!! Please pass on a huge hug from me to little Tadhg and Vicki - take a man hug for yourself too!! Thanks Sean, It's good that is only in one lung, And he's on antibiotics aswell as oxygen so he's got every chance possible o: pulling through. He's gained 3 pounds 2 ounces since birth aswell so he had better pull through this man.
chrisroberson99
Thanks, with my dad, it's his own fault really. 40 years of smoking won't help. Sometimes I want to kill him myself for being so selfish. I've told him I don't want to know details until after Christmas. Something I don't need seeing as I'm doing my GCSEs in June! My great aunt is 84 and she's had a good life, it's pancreatic so not a high rate of survival either. But the good news is the chemo has shrunk the tumor slightly! There's always hope. At least my mum is better now, he had a stoma 3 years ago and 20 years of not being able to eat properly (and two of being on a liquid diet) she eats all the time now! Her bring in hospital regularly did help me learn to look after myself, when she was home I used to cook my own meals, put the washing on, Hoover, change beds etc at the age of 8! Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread.
jace1969
Bit of an Update on Reality HD, He's in quarantine has ammonia in his left lung, Doctors have him on antibiotics and feeding via pipe through nose and vicki's sticking with him 24/7 I've offered to swap places as whoever stays cant leave until the end, To avoid any risk of contamination to Tadhg. Amazing how quickly shizzle gets real Sorry to hear that mate, same as we all say on here fingers crossed and thinking about you. Massive hugs and keep fighting. I'm the same as a person said on here, sometimes find it so hard to let go and share problems but the old saying ''A problem shared is a problem halved''
jeebowhite
Yeah it definitely sounds like your family had been through the wars Chris! I hope that when you hear the news it's not as devastatingly ugly as that picture you draw in your head! As for a problem shared is a problem halved, I never believed that lol, coz instead of just one of you worrying lime hell there's now two of you! And to be fair on a crisis, it's better to have 2 heads than one!

I don't believe in a lot of saying but to talk at times does help,as you said having 2 heads to think. It does help.

Every feckin minutes!

JC600
lol......loved my visit to a private hospital though (paid by NHS). Was only there for a day, but had a private room. And after having a camera shoved down my throat. I got the best poached eggs with thick granary toast and a big mug of tea. :D
