jeebowhite
You would hate our area Clive, we have to park part on pavements otherwise you can't get a bike through let alone a car lol
Stoney871
If there is no other option where parking is crap then some dispensation is in order. My peeve is where it's blatantly done because people are too lazy to find a proper space. Causing a dangerous obstruction always draws my attention.

Incontro
I too hate people who park on pavements. But the local plod always seem to drive straight past the offending cars... As far as I am aware it's illegal (?), so how come the plod never stop and issue a fine? Or is it the council's job to do so? Kind of confused here... jeebowhite
The council take responsibility for parking around the roads, unless the vehicle is parked dangerously, likely to cause an accident or is blocking zig zags by crossings they don't tend to stop or get involved. Without the driver there to bite their ear they can do no more

jeebowhite
No worries, much like you I keep an eye out for things, I tend to take photos and send them to the council parking enforcement team and let them nail them lol. They can't always do it but I have got a couple of feedback saying they issued a postal ticket with the supplied photos

jeebowhite
If I had the money I would buy a cacker motor, and park it mm off the car. I just don't want my car damaged lol

Turvey
Just curious as to what the correct etiquette would be when parking that van and caravan?
alexp999
Couldn't they have just used 2 spaces, one in front of the other, rather than across 6?
Stoney871
That's what the one behind did. Two spaces and causing no trouble at all. A lot of it is laziness and a case of bellpiecious totalis imho.
jeebowhite
Just curious as to what the correct etiquette would be when parking that van and caravan? The best etiquette with caravans is to not put them on our roads. Then no one is affected, parking is improved 500% travel times are improved by 35% and stress is reduced by 20%. I think that's how it should be fixed lol
