PS2 fits in glovebox,

Fitted joypad extension cables to under front seats,

Straight away you've got a problem.

The amp is fine powering the subwoofer.

But it provides 50w RMS X2 (so 50w a side in the front).

The speakers they're including in the 'deal' require 70w RMS a side :). They should've spotted this.. probably hoping people wouldn't notice.

The 6x9 will still work, but they'll be under powered

Another way to look at this is;

You can put the stereo at full volume without ever blowing the Speakers :)

Or set the gain structure properly and not blow them either :p

 good one,

For those whom may not know,

When an amp is purchased it doesnt come tuned,

It needs tuning which means setting the gains,

Kieran likes to amplify everything as stated setting the gains.

See page: 82 of my build regarding tuning the amplifier

And it's definitely worth doing! It wasn't until lenny said he had done it that I got off my backside, got the test frequency generated and then set to work.

My mono amplifier was pushing out almost twice the voltage it should have been! Therefore shortening the life of both the sub & amp. So, the voltage gets Turned down, the headunit gets Turned up slightly (still not even half volume) and everybody's happy! :)

In my opinion the kit you linked is a great deal for the price,

The amp is sebding 50w to the Speakers max.

But the Speakers can handle 70w

Sure there not going to achieve full potential but it also means you cant blow them,

Id go for it.

AVH-2700BT is the new 2600 pioneer change every year,

My 8600BT is now replaced with an 8700BT

Thats how it goes.

How much is the 8700 or 8600? Would the 2700 have all the same stuff and better than the 2600 or completely different

Cost me 800 last november,

Not sure about differences but it has a 7" HD screen to start,

CarPlay, 3 sets of pre amplified RCA outputs, Digital sound processor, HDMi input, twin usb input, dual screen output,

Three video source inputs, etc.

Caraudiodirect has a good comparison layout if you select compare on items it shows differences quite well.

I paid alot less in the black Friday sales

For the price, the deals not bad, it's just not great. I'd go for it.

Like I said, no matter how much you spend, there will always be somebody else with something better

That's so expensive haha! Yeah but they don't have the 2600 so I'm wondering if I'm better buying a new 2700 or getting the older 2600! I just want something I'm not gonna hate and wish I got the other one!

So, the 2600 doesn't have HDMI input, has a 6" display I think, doesn't have twin usb input (single only). Has AV but only one.. Although easily split.

Has reverse camera in, AV in.

That's the big differences for you :)

I believe with lennys the delays for each Speakers are actually in milliseconds? Where as with the 2600 you just increase & decrease anonymous values

I paid around 190 I think?

I'd happily have paid 250. Very happy with it. Sure, there's better out there if you can justify spending the money.. but if you're going for a high end head unit, it's then silly to use cheap Speakers etc. Hence why I've gone for Focal/JL & Lenny has JL audio!

But as you've said, you're upgrading so no problems there

Right! Makes more sense! I can't find any 2700 videos on YouTube but the layout and stuff looks different! Just wondering if it will be easy to use and similar to the old one! Yeah think I'll probably go for that package I sent earlier but at the moment it's the headunit first! Really appreciate this guy's!!

The 2600 is a doddle to use, yet doesn't look chavvy or childish (same thing I believe?)

Even my 68 year old grandad used it fine... I had to spend a day explaining windows 8 to him a few weeks prior, yet he could use the head unit? Haha

Pioneer were the first to introduce "CarPlay" and pride themselves in ease of use mate
