The central locking module is part of the GEM fusebox.

What symptoms is your car displaying?

Possibly RF antenna data circuit, short to ground or short  to battery.

Some models have a separate antenna unit that is located behind the interior light from memory some don't and it is part of the GEM module from memory.

I have the same problem. I have a 2009 focus 1.6 tdci and the central locking stopped working overnight. Checked battery in key fob - battery is OK. Trying to find relevant fuses but can't locate the fuse box to check! Any help as to what this could be would be much appreciated!

The c/l fuses are in the passenger fuse box under the glove box. Held up by two quarter turn latches. It pivots down, and can then be pulled forward for access.

If c/l works manually, but not by remote, check F102 (10A), the remote rx fuse.

Other c/l fuses are: F133 (25A) & F134 (20A).
