Spare Wheel Retaining Bolt

Hi,

I bought a Ford Fiesta without a spare wheel so I purchased a second hand 14 inch wheel. I've been struggling to buy the correct retaining bolt to keep it in place. I just wonder if it's necessary to buy one as it fits quite well. If you travel at speed is there any chance that it could bounce up and down and hence cause some local damage in the boot?

I'd appreciate any views on this, particularly as I regularly drive on the motor way.

    I don't think any of our cars have the bolt left lol. Never had any problems.

    My car also has a full size wheel ( that doesn't fit well at all and makes the floor stick up an inch or two) and it doesn't move around.
