Non existant air flow in front footwell. Focus 2017. 1.0

Hello,

The air flow/ventilator ( heating and AC) on my wife's Focus 1.0 Eco boost is very weak. I have to have it on full fan blow and 24C do get some half decent heat and air flow. There is very little or virtualy no air flow to the feet and when all three settings are on ( windscreen, body and feet) there is very little effect.

It seems there is a vacumn leak or a pipe/hose has come off somewhere. Or could it be the resistor or ventilator motor??

Any ideas as to how I can check pr where to look behind the dash?

Damn annoying in this cold weather. I am new to Ford Focus's so maybe this is just standard performance. If so, not impressed.

Thanks.

Cheers,

I was going to say a blocked pollen filter but the car is too young for that. Its still under warranty, you may as well book it in.

If its on auto and you are doing short distances its normal.

The issue here is having all the vents open at once, windscreen, hands and feet...you're not going to get a good amount of flow from any single area like that.  Think of it like water from a hose, if you put your thumb over the hose end the pressure increases on the open part, its the same with the vents, try closing some of the vents if you want more pressure...thicker socks may reduce the need for feet vents lol.

Also as above, the system keeps the blower speed low when you first set off with a cold car so it doesn't blow freezing air at you and gives the heater matrix (and supplemental heater element if fitted) a chance to heat up quicker.
