This is the original oil that Ford prescribes for all engines that require a 5W30 engine oil that meets the WSS-M2C913-D Specification.

Ford used to sell their own oil under the "Ford Formula" label. This oil was also developed and produced by Castrol. A few Years ago Ford discontinued the "Ford Formula" label and replaced it by the Castrol branded oil with Ford logo.

Ford still distribute Formula F (at least 5W-30) engine oil, but since last year, this is done through daughter company. But labels, packaging, content etc... is still the same. Formula F was produced, and still is by BP.

Castrol Magnatec A5 is a slight upgrade to Formula F, has Ford engine oil spec and is mid SAPS oil.

I was confused by the WSS-M2C913-D Specification as the Castrol Magnatec 5w30 A5 (Green bottle start stop label)  says WSS-M2C913-C which i usually go for.

so does the ford Castrol Magnatec 5w30 - Professional oil meet the WSS-M2C913-C  and can be used in ford petrol engines as well?

Here is the link once again just to make sure.

Although going by the Castrol web site it seems this oil is 100% for petrol engine.

Thanks

UPDATE

went head and ordered some, it seems to be 100% so will keep all posted when it arrives, Thanks for help

Spec WSS-M2C913-D is backward compatible with WSS-M2C913-C/B. With slight improvement in fuel consumption. oil is for both petrol and diesel engines.
