where was the mk2 built

just wondering where was the mk2 focus built and mine has the ti-vct engine and have been told they only last 60-70k and mines done 80k but no uk dealers seam to stock them



The mk2 & facelift versions for the European market were built at the Saarlouis plant in Germany and Valencia plant in Spain.

Btw, who told you the engine only last that long?
The Ford recommendation for a cambelt change for that engine is 100k so as long as you service the car well and do regular oil / filter changes it could go round the clock quite easily.

if you look at your car on ford etis website it will say where it was made

but you need to register (free) if not already
