Checked tonight and a new update is showing for mine. 2.8gb.

Anyone done this and know what this one does?

I'm away just now with work.

 

 

That size it will be a map version update.

Map update stops you turning left in the middle of the Queensferry crossing.

It's not a map update, just the main app.

Map updates are usually over 20 gig?

I've done this update.  So far changing DAB stations seems slightly quicker, and the sync 'app' icon is now blue instead of grey.

My sync icon has allways been blue, i did this update  cant say ive noticed any difference as to my earler comment it was  yesterday was the first time i had been over the Queensfetty crossing  since updating and the roads are now correct finally.

That doesn't make sense . As previously suggested 2.8Gb would have been Sync3 build update not maps that would be at least 26Gb.

Yeah, It's not the maps it's:

0.5GB app

1.5GB app voice

0.7GB Gracenotes

0.1GB utility/tools/checks to make things go smoothly.

Weird then not sure.

The 2.8gb update is not maps, but there are 2 updates available for me - the system one I have done, but I still need to do the maps update at about 26gb.

I know its not maps ive done both so up to date did them both at the same time so cant say much is different apart from the maps have included some miising info

Updated fine this morning to 19205 from 18025. Just need to look later and see if it created a log file this time.
Took at most 15 mins, felt like 10 mins.
No noticeable difference as others said.

Log file created ok for me.

Even if it doesn't you can download just the log generator now, so it only takes seconds to get one, you don't have to redo the whole update.

Yeah log file was there and says I'm all updated

I mean it’s fairly obvious but the maps have definitely been updated - locally there are changes.  Decent!

The 2.8gb update does not include maps.

Didn't need to use the log file, as it looks like the car updated Ford when it was connected to Wifi.
