Ned_Mk2_1.8tdci
Replaced a set of wet belt , cam belt and auxiliary belt some 6.5k miles ago. Used Dayco kits. Recently engine developed a strange dull, grinding noise in all driving conditions. There's no issues with the car performance. Any suggestions what the problem may be? Cheers!!! Ned_Mk2_1.8tdci
Anyone? Any ideas? This grinding noise is from the direction of the cam/belt cover, aux.belt. Happens after engine warms to the normal operating temperature and the sound intensity stays the same despite the varying rpm. I'm scratching my head..... TomsFocus
I wonder if it's the engine mount collapsed? Everything around the belts all moves in time with RPM, struggling to think of anything else that wouldn't!
