nicam49
If fuel pressure sensor CONNECTIONS are bad, the ecu will record a different ERROR plus eml light would be flashing. Could still be worth checking the filter on the pump... after all the car's 7 years old now.
Lozza58
I have recently purchased a 2012 FORD MONDEO ZETEC Hatch MC 2.0L PETROL turbo ECO BOOTS which has the Engine light on and doesn’t Idle and take off smoothly from a standing start. Once I take off and up to the speed required it runs fine. I took it to a mechanic and he plug in his device and diagnosed that the HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP showing , has anyone experienced this issue and what can I do to fix it? Note replacing HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMP on this model is over $500 plus labour, I want to be a 100% sure that this will fix this problem as my mechanic said "it may also be a clogged fuel injector etc" This will be an additional cost which I would like to avoid if possible. Your feed back would be greatly appreciated
