fronty
Hey all, I've just purchased a 2015 S-Max. The passenger airbag light on the central console is permanently lit with the word "on", it displays "off" if I disable the airbag, but even when enabled/on it stays permanently lit. Is this normal? The dealer I bought it from says it's due to some EU regulation, but I can't find it. Can't find a definitive answer despite searching multiple forums. Here is the light when I disable the airbag, I would fully expect for this to remain lit all the time, but really not sure if it should stay lit when the airbag is enabled? brains_t
It is normal and required. The airbag must be disabled if a rear facing child seat is fitted on the front passenger seat.
