I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I do like finally getting some Hekos for the ST c5e393baae1e6864bbd30aa1ec4a9884.jpg

I do like treating myself to some Savanna cider!!  Perfect after another hot day in Scotland...  For once, that isn't a joke!

I do like logging into eBay and finding that I won a Hoover Senior I had forgot even bidding on for 99p!!  Surprising as they were going for £40-50 only a few months ago...  Not that I'm complaining!

I do like moving into my flat today and finally being free from my mother!  I also like enjoying a glass of red and a cigarette whilst watching a great movie in said flat.

Life is good...

I also like receiving my cigarette case today so I don't have to look at the disgusting new "plain" packs anymore.

I do like getting back from Bristol this afternoon, in a smidgeon over 1½ hours without encountering any gridlocks or tailbacks:smile:

In the amusing sense of I like, one of our engineers was relating how his mother often mishears things and had asked him yesterday "Why are there a lot of street sellers in Bristol city centre offering her larger footware?"

After trying to work out what she meant, he realised the sellers were actually saying "Big Issue!" She was mishearing "Bigger Shoe!"

I do like discovering the consultancy fee at Pipper's vet has dropped by £7:smile: I was expecting the normal £23 for Pipper's check up, and the receptionist said it was £16.

Apparently, they've had a bit of a shake up since the senior partner retired. A new senior partner implementing new ideas, including a lower consultancy fee.  They've stopped doing open surgery on a Saturday and gone over to an appointment basis only. Which also explained why it was only a injured hedgehog from Dorset Wildlife Trust and Pipper in the waiting room.  Saturday afternoon used to be a whole anarchic menagerie of both booked patients and those waiting for an open slot.

I like Theakstons OP. Nuff Sed

I do like being more settled in my flat now and having my turntable hooked up!  I also like having both the 405 and 623 parked in the driveway and a bottle of Whyte & MacKay for later.

Having a great day out in Manchester and paying our respects at the memorial in St Anne's Square.

I was genuinely amazed at how serene and peaceful it was and how large the area is that people have covered with flowers, balloons, candles and messages.

cool

I do like Tesco's new addition to the salad leaf range, "Hot Mix Salad" and "Seasonal Salad". Whilst you can never have too much watercress, it's nice to supplement it with a variety of leaves at the table, from time to time.

Molly is widening her roaming area, she's annexed next door's (Range Rover owner) cat-less garden and appears to be having running raids into the next garden along, mindful perhaps of the 4 resident cats. One of which, a ginger tom, she was rubbing herself against with some passion!

Where's the Volvo?

This view, with a cold pint and Ringo sat by my side.

Where is that? Some where on the south west coast?

At my mother's house, as that is her car.  Technically I bought it and own it, but she uses it.

Combe Martin

I do like, for once, not encountering any stoppages on the A31 this afternoon:smile:, even the poorly designed Canford Bottom junction was free flowing! Dorset's idiots must causing chaos in another county today.

Combe Martin

I had some great family holidays in Combe Martin:smile: and a not so great one, when my tent got blown down and away; in an unexpected and unseasonal storm.

I do like having a lazy-ish start to my Wednesday off!  Cup of coffee, bacon sandwich, cigarette and Chicago on the stereo.  Not much else I can do considering it is still tipping it down outside!!

I do like taking Pipper for an extra 5 mile walk:smile:, incorporating a visit to the polling station on the way out.  All the party representatives who were congregating outside gave her a stroke and a pat:  Whereas at previous elections, Brandy only used get attention from the Libdem and UKIP persons. Clearly, springer spaniel appeal extends across the political spectrum.

The advert across the bottom of this thread :laugh:

I do like pouring a LARGE whisky, and that is the only "like" of today...  To be continued in the "don't like" thread!!
