I will, if people like the idea more than continuing with these two threads.

Ah, you mean instead of, not as well as?

I think there could be a call for all 3 threads 🤔

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

@Lenny I'm surprised how comfy volvos are to drive. After me and dad went with grandad to get this car my dad decided to get the same car in black for himself with the same 5 cylinder turbo petrol engine. His headlights are hazy like these ones so might do his though he is thinking of getting a brand new pair.

Sadly getting told by the parents to sell my car before the ULEZ charge gets closer 😢

Pull all your mods off your current car, buy a 1.6 petrol version and stick em all on there. Found this nice 30th Anniversary whilst looking for something else on autotrader

I do like seeing the 2020 release list this morning from Corgi which includes quite a few Ford models and a pack of 4 RS Escorts (MK1 - Mk4).
The 4 pack will be limited to 1000 releases.

I like getting a call today from my dealership.

Have you got the latest Modern Warfare?  I've just completed the campaign on Veteran and now going back to collect the achievements.  Glad they've brought back campaign mode but wish it was a bit longer, only got it at xmas!  Also like finding out you can use an oil filter as a suppressor...though I'm pretty sure that's not as effective as Activision make it seem lol!

That 5 pot turbo is the same one used in the Mk2 Focus ST.  Volvo saloons are super comfy but can be tail happy...especially if you put a heavy toolbox and jack right at the back of the boot...  🤦‍♂️  I managed to accidentally drift a corner at 20mph in the S40 like that... :whistling:

Hope you're not superstitious!

It's great to see all the birds on our field,as we live on the end by a big field we get loads of all sort of birds,it gets very badly flooded so think it's a pool.

Not seen the woodpecker for a few weeks but this last month had loads of seagulls and Canadian geese like 30 of each.

@TomsFocus I thought the ST had the 2.5T engine the same you get in the S60 R 😁

Forgot to say they both have the 2 litre 5 cylinder turbo petrol engine

Same engine, just tuned differently.
At the time the 2.5 was being used, Volvo was part of Ford so they could dip into any toy box they wanted.
Ford sold Volvo to Geely in 2010.

The Volvo S60 is one of my "wish I'd bought one but didn't" cars. Very comfy, the 5 cylinder motors -petrol and diesel - were lovely and sounded great. Unfortunately it was just too wide for places I needed to get into at the time and I ended up with an Audi A4 - still a nice car, and a heck of a lot smaller than the current versions - this was back in 2003.

Drove one during my Armed Response days, loved them for their power, sturdiness and storage space.
They recently worked on one on Wheeler Dealers, Ant Anstead was AR with Hertfordshire Police for a while and had great fondness for the big old beasts as well.

They are really comfy cars. My dad recently was fixing a lexus IS200. I believe it has a 6 cylinder 2 litre petrol engine. Really smooth but the volvos seats really do it for me and has similar engine smoothness. Its so comfy and you get a lot of toys to play with especially the electric adjustable seats.

@Eric Bloodaxe yeah they are big cars. When I first drove it I was scared parking it because it's so big and you don't really have a reference when reversing. Dad recently bought bigger calipers to put bigger brakes on. He said the police fitted their volvos back in the day with bigger brakes equivalent to the XC90 which he bought it off of. Sadly just heard my grandad is getting a little frustrated with his volvo. Think it's starting to get a little expensive to fix.

I do like the new magic tree I got for the truck today, smells just like the real thing.

Only thing is I can't hang it from the mirror 😃

Bought these films to go on the wing mirrors of the focus to prevent the rain pearling; my wing mirrors are heated but they do take time to heat up so thought I'd give these a try,

@TomsFocus looks like that road has more camber than that car 😂. I'm sadly getting more prompts now of looking at selling the car. Really don't want to and its sadly due to these emission scares.

Haha, I like the look of stance cars but I wouldn't want to drive one in the real world!!

If you really don't want a different car I reckon you should get an identical petrol ZS and swap your mods on as someone suggested the other day.  I don't think fuel costs would be much more now you're doing so few miles, insurance probably about the same, it's just the extra tax you'd have to find.

I understand that you want to save for a house etc but as a car guy I think you'll regret getting something boring just to save money...I've done it myself lol.

That’s what I suggested, then @zain611 you still have virtually the same car just with a petrol engine.
