iantt
Don't know what all the fuss is about electric cars range reducing in winter. Wltp 193 miles. 179.4miles plus 23 miles left. Did a quick 10 mile charge this morning before taking partner to hospital ( be on the safe side of flat) so take that off and still 192.4 miles of range. Mainly A and B roads to work with 65 miles today of dual carriageway at 65-70.
unofix
I do like that my 2019 Focus Mk4 has passed it's second MOT today with only one small advisory. Slight damage to the sidewall of the nearside front tyre. Not complaining as both front tyres are due replacement in less than 3000miles - So a very good result 👍 🎉
unofix
Just booked my Focus in for it's second service (Major) using the "Book My Garage" as here on the FOC site. Car is booked in to (Secret Service) Bristol Street Ford. service is £199.82 (Including VAT) and thanks to the advice of @TomsFocus I booked via the 'TopCashback' website and got an extra £8.50 cash back. Let's hope all goes well !! I'll report back after the service. 👍

Better start saving then , as I've never had a garage service any of my cars for obvious reasons.
Jimpster
My guy gives mine a service as part of the MOT wether it needs one or not. He knows its my lifeline and i occasionally carry the grandkids in it and safety is my priority.

I always find it strange when I'm reminded that in GB the garage that does your MOT also services your car. It just enforces a 'conflict of interest' in me as in NI the MOT is 100% separated from any car servicing. (MOT is government run at specialist centers throughout the country). It's obviously a cultural thing...

I did used to take my cars to a dedicated MOT testing station that did no other work but I'm going back about 15yrs.

You'd be shocked if they didn't recommend a new set!

I trust my guy implicitly. Always shows me any bits he's replaced.

I must admit, the difference between the Focus & the Golf at the same age and mileage is night & day tbh. The only rusty parts on the Golf are the cheap pattern parts fitted after the write-off.
