1st March but we will pick it up on the 5th. And yes it's a Range Rover Sport Autobiography. He has a Land Rover Defender as well though that's muddy, so does that help?

We looked a Tesla Model S but the interior quality was shocking for an £80k car. So will be sticking with diseasel for now...

I hope it meets expectations!  I'll perhaps buy one of those too...

In about 30 years when they are cheap second hand!!

Joking aside, I am glad that you have the financial security that you do.  Living as I do (pay cheque to pay cheque) is no fun at all, and if you can make a success of yourself (as I'm sure you will) then you should have a very stable life, or at least the foundations to build a stable life.

I do like getting the all clear from the doctor further to a cancer scare.  Still got lots of problems in my life but at least now I've (hopefully) got a lot of time to deal with them.

  • I do like finally finishing a model kit I first started 5 and a half years ago.  It's a very special model that i was supposed to finish by the time the aircraft took her final flights across the UK

I'm sure you'll make it, after all you're only 20, got loads of time yet!

Not really.  I've learned that in this life there are those who get the good jobs and the good lives, and those who don't.  I am one of the latter.

I like my situation, in as much as I have a wife, three wonderful kids (well part time, the rest of it I want to strangle them), I have money coming in quite reliably, even if the job drives Me insane.

On the other hand, I live payday to payday, have no savings, trying to pay off lots of debt (which was manageable living at home but when renting our own family home got unmanageable).

I would love a bigger wage, love not to have to clear debts and enjoy living more with the family rather than penny pinching.

For now though I'm alive and I have a lot more than some, if not a lot less than others. I just hope I don't have to deal with any losses of a none financial basis.

Don't get me wrong, we're not swimming in money.  When we both left home and started to rent(that's a regret I'll share for later) me and Cheryl were pulling in over £3000 a month.  I was due to get a £4p/h pay rise(advantage of driving tractors lol).  Then we had Amelia and it went down to my income, then I got sacked, went on the breadline for about 3-4 months, got into weekend milking(which is how I started with cows) we packed up and moved all the cows to their parents farm, cue me going full time and earning £2100-2500(dependant on 4/5 week month) which is how it stayed until last April, when Cheryls step dad brought us a house, so we're renting off him until we pay his mortgage then it's our house, so I moved jobs closer to home, now we are struggling as once my money has gone, we rely on tax credits, if I didn't buy the Focus we'd be £600 a month better off.  So really it's all my own fault.  Also at my last job I had a 2nd income of my calve's.  That has also ceased to exist now :-(.  So by me trying to make our lifes better(moving work closer to home, less miles etc) I have actually made it worse as I've lost about £4-700 pcm and whatever I earned off calves.  Never mind , we learn by our mistakes.  I'd die happy if I see our kids not make the same mistakes we did & not have the rubbish life I had as a child, I don't wish that on anyone.

It's great that all of you have stiff upper lips n all, but don't feel that "it's ok, I've accepted who I am and how my life has to be"... Sure we all have our faults and downfalls, but anyone can do anything if they (ford) focus on their goals.

Deciding your done for at 20 years old and residing to "that's just the way things are" is such a shame.. You've shown massive interest in tinkering and maintenance with your mum's car, there is a mechanical or garage path there at minimum!

Guy that's doing some work for me is 26 now I think, he was an electrician and didn't like being employed, would rather be his own boss, he started up about a year ago and now has more work than he can handle, he needs to take someone on, he's just done up his own house and is looking to sell and find a new fixer upper etc... No one can get there overnight, but point is, he had a really crap support structure beneath him - no dad etc, but he set a goal and is aiming for it!

I do like having a nice dry and warm long walk with Brandy:smile:

Still rather muddy underfoot and paw, but not overly sodden

I do like these new brands of gum Turbulence (Watermelon) and Pulse (Tropcal Fruit) by Wrigleys.  Tesco had sold out of the Extra ones I normally buy: so I thought I'd try these:smile:

I'll have to try those.  I do like gum, especially if I am avoiding smoking.

There's another one called Glare (Blueberry) but they were out of stock on those

Seems the brand is 5 and Turbulence, Pulse and Glare are the flavours

The smell of baking homemade cookies.  Yum yum yum, so much for mine & Cheryls wedding/summer bodies lol.  Fat chance of that, homemade biscuits past 3 nights.... Awful shame the kids are conveniently in bed lol

I've made eggy bread:smile: rather a lot of eggy bread as it never seems to tie in.

You either have some egg over and consequently add another slice of bread: or you have some bread over and add a further egg:laugh:

Both cats and Brandy have some eggy bread, as a result

I have a solution in the oven... Meringue, for her obviously lol

Does Casper get the yolks?

Brandy likes it when I make a pavlova, suddenly there are four yolks in her bowl.  The cats prefer the eggs whole ans walk away from a yolk

Ohh no no no, Casper only gets special food(except when we aren't looking and the kids feed him) he has a sensitive stomach, however he's partial to a bit of tommy ketchup and Worcestershire sauce lol .  I used an egg yolk in the recipe, so decided to surprise Cheryl by making a meringue, needless to say that has gone wrong as well.  It appears I'm good at making cakes and meals & Cheryl is good at making biscuits.

Stops them browning the grass when they go for a wee wee.

Oooh does it.....Looking at my lawn, with it's huge brown circles, I think Brandy might find a bottle of ketchup added to each and every chicken:smile:

I do like pay day...  So near and yet so far (Wednesday)...

I do like having a laugh at Gumtree listings...

From the description, I quote: "good tyres".

Yeah, maybe not all of them!!

It's fine - only flat at the bottom

Haha, yeah - the other 3/4 is OK

The rest of the day off!!! Yesssssss

I do like securing yet another one of my Gumtree finds.  Already a bargain and then knocking another chunk off the price.

It is true that I am lacking in many skills, but buying and selling is not one of them!

See! Everybody can do something, you might become your own boss selling stuff!

Possibly, it's a risky job though, but certainly something that could be done alongside another job.
