Hi Guys

I am trying to remove the Crankshaft pulley bolt,I can not move it even with a large breaker bar.

Is there a special tool for the job or is it just brute force

Thank you for any answers or help in advance

Regards

Clive

I am not telling you to do this in case it ends in damage or injury but I have done this. Disconnect spark plugs so engine won’t start when stArter motor used. Put a    Ring spanner on crAnkshaft bolt. Wedge end of ring spanner against something that won’t move (body work, ground etc) . Turn key to engage starter motor momentarily. This should turn engine so bolt undoes. Check your engine rotated clockwise when running . At you own risk. I do not know what chance there is of something else breaking, eg starter motor. Ring gear. Spanner.  AT YOUR OWN RISK

I use a length of hollow scaffolding bar to increase the length of my long breaker bar for situations like that.
