I am currently due to start an engine replacement on a 2018 ford courier 1.5 diesel. Engine code xxcc. I have a complete engine with wiring loom ready to fit. Can anyone tell me what, if any components will need to be swapped from the old engine to the replacement unit to avoid any immobiliser issues ?

It may not cause immo issues but it may be worth either swapping or coding to injectors once the swap is done. This is due to the learned fuel injector quantities etc that the ecu knows

so the engine will run without any swapping of components ? Obviously all old components will be retained for future use its just the vehicle needs t o be back in service on jan 7th. Thanks

Providing that you are retaining the original ecu for the van body that it is going into, I cannot see any obvious reason why it should not run

Sort of makes sense as i recall the old focus diesels and mk6 and 7 transits have coded pumps
