2016 Ford Fiesta gearbox problems

My 2016 Ford Fiesta has ran smoothly for a while however recently it has become impossible to downshift into 2nd gear from 3rd, it has 74,047 exactly. I am more than happy to get more gearbox changed but I am unsure of whether this is a deeper problem and whether changing the gearbox would fix it. Thank you in advance.
