danieljnewman
Collected my Puma ST Performance Black last week after trading in my Mk8 Fiesta ST3 Magnetic. Couldn't be happier.

Couldn't be happier. Glad to hear it Dan - do let us know how you get on with it. Looks suitably mean in black. This is on my "possible next car list" - I'd be particularly interested to know what the ride comfort is like compared to the Fiesta ST - and are the seats exactly the same, though I guess they'll eventually be changed to the Ford Performance seats as per the facelift Fiesta? About 500 miles in and very pleased. Seats are the same as the Mk8 Fiesta ST but I would say the overall ride is at least 50% more comfortable. Its very rigid suspension as you would expect in something like this which makes cornering great but as far as overall ride quality it is still an ST but improved over the Fiesta I would say. The bigger road presence is also nice. I've always liked the recaros and been able to use the adjustable lumbar support to tweak the fit but understand a lot of people don't find them comfortable. I would imagine the next gen/facelift ST will get the new Ford Performance seats as it looks like Ford are moving away from the third party maker.
Eric Bloodaxe
Thanks Dan. I haven't managed a test drive yet so that's very helpful. Unfortunately I'm one of those who don't get on with the Fiesta Recaros, so hope the Ford branded ones might be better for me. We shall see what happens.
