A man after my own heart, multi tasking LOL (using phone, & biological relief...)

The real issue we all face from China is the danger of counterfeit safety equipment. I don't fancy my airbags, brakes and other critical parts being sold as genuine spares.

Watch the little video at the end of this link and see what happens to a simple 3 pin plug fuse when it's a counterfeit.

Amazon is the best place to get those, backed up by 1000s of fake reviews!

I know !!!

I bought some fake 2 Amp fuses from them. I realised something just wasn't quite right with them so a broke one in half and found there was no sand inside.

Just to link that back to the original topic: all the sand had probably turned to glass in the heatwave.

Yay  woke up this morning and we have RAIN ......about time.

Absolutely!  If I've replied after about 1pm, there's usually only one place that reply comes from.

And on topic...it's still roasting hot in here today!  The heat is in the fabric of the building now, will take days of cooler weather to drop it.  Temp dropped to around 22c outside early this morning, but hasn't dropped below 30c indoors yet.  This has had quite a major impact on my fridge that's really struggling to maintain a safe temp.  I've turned it 'up' twice this week already.  (Yes, it's the 'new' Chinese rubbish I was stuck with due to a very small space in the kitchen. )

Aaaaaan dnow its rained i can quite happily weedkiller around my house, Glyphosate is the best, kills everything inside 24 hrs none of this wait 2 weeks and re treat

It may have rained but its still sticky.

I wonder, do you English and Irish have air condition machines to your houses?

In history your climate was not so hot as the past 3 years (or more?)...you always had cold summers and snowy-rainny winters.

I wonder how do you endure with high temperatures at your houses if you do not have air condition machines?

Portable air conditioner machines have become more common in the last 10 years.  They can be bought for around £300.  They do take up a lot of room though, and our properties often aren't big enough. Very few UK houses have built in AC.  So we just have to sweat and wait until the temperature drops!  (And complain about it...wouldn't be British if we weren't complaining!! )

You are right.

Patience is not one of my gifts so i am counting down days to September...

I do not like heat at all especially here in Greece where humidity and heat are a dangerous combination at summer.

Air condition devices are the only solution for everybody in the world.

Have a nice night!

I'm not one for using the aircon ( allergy wise) but did put it on last Tuesday @38 degrees when we went to have the tyres changed and thought it was a bit naff tbh. Seemed not to notice any really cold air or a drop on temperature compared to what my old Nissan Primera used to kick out, now that was freezing cold and that was over 15 yrs ago. Perhaps I had the settings wrong but I won't be in a rush to use it again.

Your A/C is b*ggered. Should be punching out chilled air at 4c to 7c, if not, it needs fixed!

That might be why. I think it's only been switched on 5 times the very most since I've had that from 6 months old it will be 4yrs next March.

Plus all of the germs, yeast and mould spores that are sucked in from outside (unless using recirc).

Brand new AC systems produce the cleanest air possible as the contaminants stick to the moist evaporator and run off underneath in water.  But once the system is switched off, that leaves a warm, moist environment where mould and bacteria thrive, ready to be blown out when next switched on.  Bit of a catch 22 for allergy sufferers!

Now, when's the last time you bought one, I can't one for less than £8 LOL

Not a bad price at all, will pick one up tomorrow as I'm driving past Europarts on way to MOT!

25% Cheaper on CP4L.  Though you would need to be buying other items as well to get free delivery.

TRIPLE QX Aircon Sanitiser 150ml | Car Parts 4 Less

(Edit - Looks like you can now collect CP4L orders. )

(Edit, Edit - But CP4L charge £2 for C&C, where ECP is free.  So unless making savings over £2, not worth it.  They seem to have taken Ebays approach to over-complicating things!)

I drove past Europarts earlier on another errand so popped in to get a can. It's absolutely lovely! I do hope the nice fresh smell hangs around for a few weeks and doesn't go away tomorrow - will definitely get another, thanks for the heads up. Haven't used one in ages as I refused to pay £8 for one LOL
