Mickeyluv
I need to change a front drop link on my ST-Line and don't have a factory jack (it doesn't come with one). Where's a good place to raise it with a trolley jack to get the wheel off?
TomsFocus
There should still be a strengthened section under the sill if you look carefully. If not, then jacking up under the front subframe is fine.
Mickeyluv
Thanks for the replies. I ended up placing a wooden block under the subframe and jacked it from there. I need to make up a pad to jack it on the the seam to avoid damage, as my jack has a rather severe serrated head. I've done this for my Skoda Yeti out of 1 1/2" thick nylon but it doesn't fit the Ecosport due to a projection on this car to locate the factory jack. A side project for another day. All done though - it only took a few minutes to change the link once the wheel was off.
