My 2015 1.5 diesel focus has ran like a beast no problem at all with it since I got it in 2018 but recently noticed that the stop start hasn’t been working any tips on how to fix this would be a great help. Also a complete noob when it comes to cars so maybe something daft that I haven’t realised to fix it checked the settings in the car menu aswell and everything is saying that the stop start is on

This is pretty normal. As your battery ages and loses a bit of capacity the ECU will start turning off functions like this. Exactly the same happened on our old Mk3. When first bought (used) start/stop worked sporadically for a while then eventually stopped working altogether and didn't work again until I put a new battery on several years later.

It didn't bother me as it saves a lot of wear and tear on the starter and ring gear.

Don't recall seeing anyone report that before 🙄

Oh wait a minute, it has been mentioned once or twice. Search Stop/Start and read any of the two hundred threads on the subject.
