Kevlar-2006 Posted May 31, 2023 Share Posted May 31, 2023 Hi all, my Front heated windows on my 2006 MK5 Fiesta are not working and i was going to investigate next week by checking the wiring under the cowling in the front. unofix Posted May 31, 2023 Share Posted May 31, 2023 2006 Fiesta is a Mk6 in the UK. - It could even possibly be a Mk6.5 or otherwise known as a Mk6 facelift. How do you know it's not working ? Paulkp Posted May 31, 2023 Share Posted May 31, 2023 The screen is in two halves, but check you are getting 12V to both sides, (underneath the "A" post trims), and then measure the resistance of both halves of the screen. On many Ford models the heated front screen will only operate if the outside ambient temp is 7oC or below. I know it's not working from trying to use it in the Winter months, checked and changed the Fuses (They loked ok, but just incase) checked the Relays and they seemed fine) just not working. I'll test with a multimeter then, seems the logical way 🙂 I do have a temp gun, so may try that also!
