Escort 1.8D Van Electrics

Hi - I have a 1998 1.8D Escort van  which had electrical issues, most of which I've fixed. The problem I have left is only side lights on off side but none on near side but I did get them working for a day. Dont know why?

The last thing I did was put code on radio to get it working and then clean interior light switch and door switches to light which got them working too.

On rechecking I noted the near side sidelights had failed again. I have tested both sides to see if Im doing it right but only get 12 volts on the side thats working.

Strange thing is all side lights on trailer board are working.

Any advice appreciated

The left and right sidelights have separate fuses if I remember correctly. Have checked them both?
