ecoboomnightmare17
Hi have a 1.0 ecoboost, fan comes on after a drive but temperature gauge reads normal at half way, plugged in with diagnostics no faults but on live data coolant temp reading 103°c, when it gets down to 93°c fan turns off. Bottom radiator pipe is cold and top is only warm close to thermostat and cold going onto the radiator, anyone any ideas waterpump has been replaced. TomsFocus
103c is an acceptable temp on these. The main thermostat opens around 97c though, so the top rad hose should be hot when the coolant reads 103c. Sounds like the stat may be sticking closed.
