Dave-2912
I really feel sorry for young drivers these days (not that I'm particularly old at 26) but I'm certain I have never paid over £750 for car insurance and that was was for a new, remapped Focus ST when I had 3 years no claims and a fault claim before that. Last renewal I was under £350 for my ZS with all the extras (legal, extended hire car, protected ncb) and £0 excess. Without the extras and with a reasonable excess I would have been down around £250 easily.
milla020
When i was 19 i got my first car which was a 2010 Fiesta Zetec 1.2 and i paid 2800 for a years insurence. A year later i have upgraded to the Fiesta Metal and am now paying just under 1800 for my insurence and that is with Elephant. The insurence for yound drivers is extortionate but we have to pay it because we need a car. I understand that there are a lot of young people who drive like a**holes but its annoying as it bumps up the price of us sensible drivers! haha
