Hi,

I have a ford focus mk1, 1.6. the fan belt seems to be making a loud constant noise (not your typical fan belt slipping noise), more like something needs oiling/greasing.

does the fan belt need replacing? or something greasing/oiling?

It could be a worn belt but it sounds more like a failing tensioner or bearing
