JonnnyH
I recently purchased a Ford Fiesta 1.0T 125ps Zetec S and would be interested to see what Miles Per Gallon and Ecomode scores other Ecoboost engine owners were achieving (not just 125ps). The car is documented to achieve the following: Urban MPG: 53.3Extra Urban MPG: 76.0Combined MPG: 65.7 After ~150 miles, 50% motorway and 50% urban I have the following results: Average MPG: 42.9 Ecomode: Shifting: 5 Anticipation: 5 Speed: 5 I look forward to seeings what other owners are achieving. Jon *Edit: for those that dont know, for which there seem to be a few Ford Ecomode is accessible from pressing menu on the dash and enter on ford ecomode, you will see three catagories, for each green leaf coloured in the more economically you drive, 5 out of 5 being the most economical in each section*
Stewbold
Hi We purchased a 1L Ecoboost 100 PS Titanium a week ago. I can't remember the Ecomode scores apart from shifting which was a 5. On a 450 round trip from SW London to NE Wales with about 80% Motorway/20% non motorway, sticking to the speed limits, we got about 46.9 MPG. Considering how cold it is and the fact that it is new and not yet run in, I was pretty pleased with that figure. It should rise once the weather warms up and the engine loosens up. Thanks Stewart
domo85
we have had our car a couple months now and have done just over 2k around 50/50 motorway an urban also its the 100ps version and ours is on 45.6 avg mpg on the way to wales and back it did creep up to just over 48 last month :) i think considering the power and fun driving characteristics of the car and it being petrol i am pretty happy with the mpg in all. jd_james
500 miles clocked on my 125 ZS. average 37.2 MPG 200 miles of it was motorway rest start - stop. Anyone worked out what the other av MPG counter is? that one that flicks around changing from 99.99 down to 50.0 to 39 it just constantly jumps about? ayrshiredude
I have no idea what the eco mode is but at about 500 miles now and the average is sitting at 44.7 mpg which is better than my last car so I am happy. I expect this to improve as the engine runs in as well.
iNath
Do you need it to settle or something? I don't understand your question. It is showing you a live second by second read out of your mpg. If your foot is to the floor the number goes down as it is using more fuel, lift your foot up and the number goes up as you're getting more miles to the gallon. If your foot is to the floor the number goes down as it is using more fuel, lift your foot up and the number goes up as you're getting more miles to the gallon. The two times i've seen it , it just jumps around randomly from like 99 down to 20 up to 50 - Don't know how people can make a judgement off that? I wasn't even putting foot to floor or anything this was on the motorway going a steady speed.

Fonfey
Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of theoretical range the 1.0 litre Zetec S engine was giving you from brimming the tank to full?
domo85
Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of theoretical range the 1.0 litre Zetec S engine was giving you from brimming the tank to full? usually says around the 350-360 mark for me but after having it couple of months now i would say thats about right. Electric_Orange
Hey guys I was just wondering what kind of theoretical range the 1.0 litre Zetec S engine was giving you from brimming the tank to full? our ones always come in at around the 320miles number although you'd have to be a pretty good gambler on the petrol tank roulette to achieve that. Our 100PS after 1500 miles is now hovering around the 39.8mpg and has just done 175miles out of fractionally less than 1/2 tank, but the range reports there is 199m remaining. Our 125PS after 250 miles is averaging 37.5mpg and has just done 163miles out of fractionally less than 1/2 tank but the range reports 202m remaining. EDIT: when I say "mpg" i mean the trip computers mpg. Not sure what the "true mpg" is yet but I can imagine its going to be slightly less. Mind you saying that if the computer read back in miles/litre like it should it would save some confusion. bigmunkynutz
I'm currently getting around 36 mpg on my first tank, have done 270 miles and have just under a quarter of a tank and its saying about 80miles till empty. Will be filling up over the weekend so will come back, with final figures. I'm gonna start using the BP ultimate in her once this first tanks empty. My driving has been about 80% short town journeys and 20% motorway so far. Instant mpg on the motorway at 80 showed low-mid fifties :-)
Sliveredge
mines done 1300 now the last tank saw me 370 mines and still showed 30 left in the tank when i filled it. 15 miles of that was on the motorway sitting at 70ish on CC and the odd right of right foot when i needed to over take etc
Russdaz
Can only tell you what the computer says, as i havent used a tank for 100% mpg. but currently showing 42mpg, but averaging between 42-46mpg. Eco scores 5 for shifting. 1 for anticipation. 5 for speed 66% of my trips have been with a cold engine too.
StornowayBlue
My new van, 1.6, just clocked 1100 miles, avg 50.5mpg. Im getting approx 400 miles to a tank. Decent but not as impressive as Ford suggested. Im looking toward a slight improvement as everything gets run-in.

cuke
Glad I stuck to diesel now :P Ok, I'm glad I went for a petrol, far more interesting and engaging drive with between 37-57mpg on cheaper fuel than a diesel :P But then we are both talking about different engines...
