jon200
Hi, I have a strange issue i haven't encountered before and hope someone can help. When i come to a stop and am completely stationary, the revs go to to about 3000 on their own for a few seconds before coming back down. My foot is nowhere near the accelerator at this point. Has anyone else had this happen?

SeanW
I've not heard of it on a Ford engine...Fiat, yes...but not Ford
ajt
Does the engine have an Idle Air Control Valve (IACV), if it does I would be looking at that first, i.e. disconnect completely and restart the car and see how it behaves.
artscot79
Im on the phone so i cant see what year youre car is but as above if its 1998-2004 also check the rubber hose at the rear of the throttle body with engine running see if its collapsing under revs
