Help Diagnose My Different Engine Sound

Featured Replies

Hello, i need some help to identify what is the problem with my Focus, i have a strange engine sound since one week. I've recorded a sample with my smartphone but its not very clear, although i've recorded from inside car with a phone dock.

I need to tell you that for the moment the car is performing good and all seems normal except THIS STRANGE SOUND. But i fear this sound is a symptom of something DYING in a close future.

I fear its coming from my turbo. I did a lot lot log of datalogs with my OBD interface and i have absolutely no DTC reported. I have all the hardware and software needed to analyze.

The Turbo boost pressure is correct, its 2.5bars.

HERE is THE SOUND:

Can you identify something special into the record until 30s to 45seconds?

The sound was different before during full throttle. Now i have some additional sound, i think its coming from turbo, but its only a guess. Im not a PRO mechanical at all, only a beginner.

thank your for any help.

My car detail:

Ford Focus MK2 2.0L TDCI 136 2007 year
