3-Door Folding Front Seat

Featured Replies

Hi All,

New here and purchased a '04 1.8 Focus only a month ago.

Recently I saw some leather seats from a 5-door for really cheap and snapped them up. I was just wondering if there was any easy way I could mod the front seats so that they fold down?

It wouldn't necessarily have to be a design like the 3 door, just literally some sort of lever I could pull to lower them down. I'm not entirely sure if this sort of mechanism would work on the 5-door style front seats?

Not the end of the world If I can't do it, it's pretty rare 2+ people are in the car!

Thanks for your help!

The frame and mechanism on a folding seat is very different than that of a non-folding seat.

If the front seats don't allow access to the rear then it's guaranteed MOT failure; unless you fancy swapping the front seats back to the originals prior to the MOT.
