whats the best settings to clear the rear passengers windows when they are misted up. when the family get into the car from the rain the rear windows mist up and it really annoys me as I have tryed all sorts of settings on the heater.

so here is a few questions?

1) Obliviously warm/cold is tune to full warm (red) but it is best to have the A/C button on when on warm setting or is this just used for the cold air setting?

2) what is the best air flow position on the heater controls for rear window demisting? I use the front and rear heated button to demist these but the passenger windows I'm lost.

also on a side note.

I never use the parking lights on the light control just the side lights (Until Now lol!). Now i just found out there is a parking light function and noticed that it only works when ignition is off . can this be just turned to the left to be activated when parked at night on a road ect and how long can this be left on this mode for?

A/C even on warm setting will dry the air and help clear things quicker.

I would have them blowing out of the "face/head" vents and feet then tip the vents towards the windows in the hope that some of it makes it backwards. Having it on feet should also direct some air to the rear under seat blowers.

AC on as a must, removes water from the air and helps clear it quicker, as for warm or hot, its all todo with temp differentials to the outside, like running a cold tap indoors water condensates on the tap.

warm would normally be best but some times cold will do just fine.

In fact heres a good tip, in the winter, give the car a good blast of pure cold air for a few min to cool all of the windows down. When you stop an park for the night, because the windows are cold compared to the outside, water shouldnt condensate on the inside meaning the windows the next day shouldn't be frozen on the inside and potentially less frozen on the outside depending on rain etc

Now heres a question, see your foot vents, when I select face/feet mix the air out of the face vents are crap, like almost unnoticeable, face vents are fine when selected for face or face/window does anyone else have this issue or is something broken on mine?

Great tip there Darren. I will be trying that out in the winter nights.

Yes when I select this I get the same as yourself. I have to up the blower to number 3 or 4 to compensate for the face vents. I originally thought maybe the pollen/cabin filter was dirty but I get the same result even when I replaced it with a new one.

Try tweaking dial to one of those dots. It helps balance the air flow

good idea Sean. I find myself having to do this most of the time. I guess the pictures on the dial are just an estimated position of the airway valve that directs the air flow.

I think the positions are set for 50/50 directional control - the air just takes path of least resistance, so needs the free flowing vents restricting slightly

possibly, I guess even with all 4 vents open it has more bends and what not then the feet that is more or less right there, ah well, least it isn't just me!
