paulworthing
cutting off peoples faces who buy my numberplates and try to sell them back!!oh i need some big money NO matter how much you had you would want more. If you could afford a Lambourghini you would want a Mercedes SLR - if you could afford one of those you would want a Bugatti - if you cold afford that you would want the convertible version - if you could afford that then you would want a custom built thing based on something expensive (well I know I would) Just remember that there are people with less than you who would like ot have what you have

paulworthing
well it is only right that every family should experience even if it is only once - maybe get your mum to hire one for a weekend and then get your Dad out in it too - its what made up our mind to get rid of our truely aweful Smart For Two and order our new one
Michael P
it;ll never ever happen, the only time my dad would stump out for a new car is when he has to spend more money fixing it than its worth, the only reason my dad gets new cars is because they're company cars and i could never pursuade him to get one!!! as soon as we're out of his house he'll get an audi TT!! poohbear
Mike - my Dad's the same, he won't ever pay for a new car himself as he think there a waste of money as they loose so much value. Saying that he's only just bought his own car now at the age of 69, he's always had some nice company ones. He grew up in a not very nice area of london - now has his own timber business. He bought the focus my aunty left off me...he loves it bless him! He's more than happy with my Mum having new cars and was pleased when I got one (probably because I'm paying for it!) I suppose at 69 he doesnt want a sports car to be racing around in.... (not that he'd get in one the size of him!)

The secret of happiness in life is not having what you want; it's wanting what you have. Old saying but very very true.
