I'm back. I was on a course today as part of an exam I'm meant to be sitting - head bursting stuff. I work in the civil service which used to be as safe as you could get but not anymore.

Ahhhh I see, that was a wooosh there, don't really watch the simpsons

ive just realised how uninterested people will be about how my day has been, sorry guys!

and you got up at 10:00 - I had been up, gone to the gym and done nearly 2 hours work by then - oh the youth of today . . ..

Right time for one last ciggie and then off to bed or I won't make it to the gym at 7am . . .

Nighty night guys

You guys who work as teachers or with children are probably as safe as you can be at the moment.

One of my friends is a lecturer in car mechanics at Leicester and the last time we spoke he was jumpy about his job.

Like I said to him, kids will always be interested in cars and education seems to be the in place at the moment.

I would say that civil servants are fairly safe at present but both Mrs Hedgepig and I are in the manufacturing industry which, as we all know from the news etc, is suffering the most at the moment.

Fortunately, our companies are still OK at present so I'll just have to keep my paws crossed! :)

i am sorry! i don't tend to have ly-ins, i just felt like it this morning!

and i am not yoof, i am proper!

if its any comfort to you paul i will be up and driving at 6.30 on friday morning ;)

Night Paul.

Re the car at school - it's a worry. A colleague had his brand new Scirocco keyed something terrible. One of the schools I teach at we all park round the edge of the yard, where the kids spend break and lunch time, so it's always going to be a risk. I just have to rely on being popular. ;)

Manufacturing is indeed a risky business in the current climate, so hope it doesn't affect either of you. My job should be ok, but Mr Brown decided that the workforce had to be reduced by around 20,000 + by 2011.

just stick stickers in the window that say

IF YOU TOUCH THIS CAR, ELECTRICITY WILL PASS THROUGH YOUR BODY AND YOU WILL DIE.
