Things I Don't Like

I don't like making a special trip to tescos pharmacy only for them still not to have my prescription in stock, that's 3 days I've been waiting for them now.  I left my mobile number with them this time lol

ive had to wait 3 months for a certain blood pressure tablet to come back into stock, worldwide shortage! how can that happen in this modern world, was prescribed an alternative for that time period.

Blimey! How's that meant to do your blood pressure any good if they can't even stock the right medicine? Talk about make a bad situation worse

Popped a tyre on a very high, very sharp kerb in London :-(

Looks like a trip to the nearest ATS - mile and a half away, probably a 2 hr drive lol

Even more irritating is that the tyre still has loads of tread, reckon it had 4 new tyres shortly before it was traded in!! Unfortunately, there's a chuffin' great hole in the sidewall!!

Ouch!  I am always wary of kerbs for that reason, as they aren't exactly the "smoothest" here either.

I have high fluoride toothpaste on a regular prescription, I've yet to visit a pharmacist who actually has it in stock, there's always a weeks delay between presenting and getting it.

That'll be the "just in time" stock method that the accountants like, but when everyone up the supply is doing it, worldwide shortages occur far too often:mellow:

That wouldn't be around Regents Park?  The kerbs round there are particularly unforgiving:sad:

i manged to pop all 4 tyres on kerbs at the same time!! work that one out. lol , was not long after passing my test.

WC1R - I have no idea how close to anywhere that is lol

I'm now sat in ATS Camden whilst the staff hurry up and do not a lot...

Had you just performed some kind jump?

That's more central around Holborn, Regents park is a couple miles north west.

Skidded and bounced all four sidewalls off kerb(s)?  Regardless of how you did it though, that's quite an achievement!

Or that...

Oh:ohmy:

Aura is beginning to dance about  before my eyes, it won't be long before I'll spending time with the migraine that surely follows:sad:

It always pops up at the most inconvenient of times, I was about to drive down to the post office with the mail:mellow:

Take a few aspirin and try to relax, taking deep breaths.  That sometimes nips mine in the bud, but most of the time I have to let it run its course.  I haven't had a bad aura for a few weeks actually, although I could feel one starting whilst driving back from Inverness last night.  Turned out to just be a bad headache, thankfully.

I dont like people who lean on your car when they either are lazy to stand up, are smoking or think its okay to lean on your car at all!!

I can't stand that either.  The only person allowed to lean on, or even touch my car is me!  If you are a passenger, you can touch the door handle to get in and that's it.  Can you tell I'm overprotective?

I don't like seeing this at a local garage...WP_20160817_14_39_01_Pro.jpgWP_20160817_14_39_06_Pro.jpg

The reason I don't like it is that I'd love to make an offer (if it was for sale), but I just don't have the facilities to restore a vehicle right now, let alone the finances.  But, I know if I don't enquire about it I'll kick myself in the future as 306 saloons (or sedans as the badge says - not sure why Peugeot went American!) are about as rare as 405s now.

Still has an MOT though, so I'm presuming it runs.  For all I know it could just be there to have the flat tyre repaired, but the overall condition suggests it isn't well loved and could be bought cheaply.

nearly, i was drivng a mini(old type) in my youth, went to overtake a car and that car had to swerve round cyclist, i took evasive manouvere to the right kerb, burst both tyres, which made car go more to right, so over corrected and hit left kerb bursting the remaining 2. lol drove it another 1 mile or so to college.

I've always hated the 306 sedan lol...  The proportions just seem wrong!    Boot isn't as practical as the hatch boot either as my mate had one fairly recently until someone drove into it...

That's definitely an interesting lineup though...a knackered 306 sedan, a 206 with broken boot trim and horrible lexus lights...and that Yaris ST isn't fooling anyone!

i thought it was a scrap yard ?

Yeah, the boot seems like an afterthought, like it has just been stuck onto the back of a regular 306 hatchback!

Peugeot sure did like those Harrier alloys in 1995/1996!  Both our 405s have them as does that 306.

You're talking about 306s? Why wasn't I tagged??

Whilst the saloon isn't nearly as good looking as the hatch, i think it has a certain charm to it. Love the fact it has a rear wiper too!

Why don't you ask the garage about its situation, maybe they/the owner could keep you in mind when they want to move it on? You've got nothing to lose.

Yes our Dec 95 306 SRi or SXi (?) 2.0 petrol had harriers.

I want a 306 and MK1 Focus so badly.

Yes our Dec 95 306 SRi or SRI (?) 2.0 petrol had harriers.

Yeah, I think I'll give the garage a call tomorrow, just enquire about it.  Even if it is a customer's car, I'm sure they could pass on my name and phone number to the owner.  It has the same XUD9 1.9 turbo diesel as our 405s, so I'm pretty sure the engine will run.  Those things never die.

Lol, Harriers were supposed to be the DTurbo trim alloys, somehow I think they got a surplus of them and started chucking them on everything!

Chris, your XSi (SRi and SXi are Vauxhall trims! ) should've had Laser alloys, big squarish spoke 15s.

XUDs die all the time, headgaskets are the usual one so if it's got an orange engine bay then avoid it!  Next biggest failure is conrods snapping, seems to be a quality control issue as I've seen some last ages on big power and some snap on standard tune at low mileage.  But apart from that, there's very little else to go wrong

Yes I thought they sounded like Vauxhall!

Oh should it? I'm almost definite it had Harriers, typical Peugeot probably ran out or put the wrong wheels on it! I need to ask my uncle as he might have a few pictures on it. (They owned it from new before we bought it.)
