After some recent activity, I reckon you could get a bargain soon on Ebay LOL

The folk that think it's ok to ask about an advert for a motorcycle, wanting to know how much to deliver. Did I say deliver , nope!

And another one asking to view the bike , and when I say the next day is ok , to be told there currently living in Madrid but will be in the UK at end aug/begining of sept.

Another one a no show.

It infuriates me when at a roundabout the driver to my right does not indicate to turn left on the first exit

As an HGV driver I totally agree with you 👍 also boils my p*** is when the car directly opposite indicates right ie the third exit (so you don't go in case you slow them down) and they take the second exit!!!

Having the last mouthful of tea and getting a load of tealeaves because the bag burst but you didn't notice! 🤮

I don't like the wanton destruction of old buildings especially pubs!

I've never been to The Crooked House but to see it on fire a few nights ago was bad enough and now it's been flattened makes it a travesty! 😢

Hopefully the perpetrators will be found and made to pay.

I've only caught snippets on the news but something seems very odd about that.  I've never seen a burnt out building flattened so quickly...and it's only recently been sold. 🤔

If you'd have been brought up in Belfast, it wouldn't seem so odd 🤣

Step daughter has changed her first name on v5 document and sent the whole v5 as stated. This was a week ago. Today Had a notification slip to say she no longer the keeper under her old first name. Thought more of it and await the new v5 with altered first name.

Then I wondered when her tax was due , to find out the tax has expired end of last month which I thought was odd as it's due around her birthday inJanuary.

DVLA have canceled the tax and not notified us. Step daughter been going to work in an untaxed car.

Can't tax it online as the whole v5 been sent off so no ref numbers. Just found out only way to tax car is to go to post office and fill out v62 form for replacement v5 and pay £25 for the privilege due to DVLA mess up.

Need to do that before she drives home.

That sounds very much like the DVLA are treating this like a change of owner/keeper rather than a simple name change. I'd check when you get the V5c back that the number of previous owners hasn't increased.

I've never changed name on V5.  (Mine's often wrong but I just leave it!)  I wonder if this is part of the process though.  Showing as untaxed online doesn't necessarily mean it's untaxed, it shows as that for ages after a new keeper does tax it.

I'd recommend contacting DVLA directly to double check before doing the PO process.

I had my annual review with the diabetes nurse the other day. She seemed very happy with how I'm doing with diet, exercise, etc - then went and spoilt it by saying she understood how difficult it is to keep up to things when you're in your "twilight" years! 😠  Still only mid-afternoon as far as I'm concerned!😀

I will be having my annual chat with the drs later this week. Had blood and urine tests for kidney, liver function, diabetes ,chloresterol , height and weight. Last time I was borderline diabetic, cholesterol on the high side , overweight etc etc. The joys of getting older and not looking after yourself.

Lol, I do (and always have) tried to look after myself** - and they're still always on my back about one thing or another. Have a test for one thing, they find something else.........!😀

** I'm far from convinced about some of the advice you get. As they say, doing without alcohol, pies, cakes, and eating loads of fruit, veg, salad etc, etc, may not actually help you live longer, but it sure as heck feels like it!

I changed from my Gp to a diabetic specialist nurse that could over-ride him. I was reacting badly to some of the meds, till she stepped in. Changed them all from diet negative to diet positive meaning one suppresses hunger the other doesnt so its on you to eat healthier as i was on the verge of having to go onto insulin. I take 6 Metfornin, 1 Empagliflozin daily and a once weekly injection into my stomach that i was very aprehensive about and why i didnt want to go onto Insulin. All my side effects have disappeared and am slowly loosing weight now the meds are working correctly.

Amateur 🤣 I take 142 tablets/week plus injections. Metformin for me was a horrible drug causing all sorts of nasty side effects, within days of stopping, I was back to my 'normal' drug side effects LOL...

Oh, I missed that memo 🤣

Parked up in the nearby town yesterday, the starting point for a walk. Passed the Halfax branch as I set off, in one window was a poster with their annoying "It's a people thing" slogan. In the other window was a notice stating "this branch will close permanently from 22 August". So much for the "people thing", then!

On a similar fake customer service note I always cringe when I go onto a website whereby, after about 15 seconds the screen is blotted out by a huge form entitled "We care about your privacy" - No you don't! You want to access and probe my device, link it to other devices that I may own and also flog my details to your "Partners" who may have difficult-to-switch-off-unless-you-have-a-couple-of-spare-hours "Legitimate interests". So does that mean that all of the other partners don't have any interest, or just an illegitimate ones. As soon as this happens I either navigate away, or refresh the page carefully hitting the "X" to avoid this nonsense from loading.
