I dont use Edge wallet as i dont use edge, I use Google wallet, it is linked to my bank and runs on my phone. For online laptop payments i use Paypal and default it to pay from my stored bank account as its immediate.

I use a lovely vintage tan leather wallet, it contains my cards. It never needs charging, and the cards work seamlessly whether they get a WiFi/phone signal or not. They are very robust, and never break even if dropped from a great height, then accidentally stood on. 😂

If you ever want it to lead the life it deserves, I can send you my address LOL 🤣

The Nigerian General said similar, tho he wanted cash upfront.

So, every time you want to buy something online, you have to get up from the PC, walk all the way to your wallet, fiddle around trying to slip just one card out with out the rest coming, squint at the numbers, type them all in, correct the inevitable mistake in a 16 digit number, then put the card away and put your wallet away?

Seems like a lot of unnecessary hassle!

In other news, still couldn't get it to work today.  Just used PayPal instead.

What's all this, 'walk to your wallet' stuff? It's ALWAYS in my pocket LOL Anyway, like you, 99% of online purchase is with PayPal... 🤣

I must spend to much online as I remember the number off by heart.

I don't like being told today that tomorrow and Wednesday I'll be sitting in a classroom to gain another couple of days 'training ' for my CPC!

Things i hate.

Reality tv is one of worst things ever to be thought up,it just encourages people who are to lazy to get a job to invade people's tv screens thinking they are the next best thing since sliced bread.

Soap operas are another travesty thought up by someone with far to much time on their hands, it encourages people to think that that's how the world is, nothing could be farther from the truth.

This is just my opinion and as Dirty Harry once quoted "opinions are like a..hole's everyone's got one " and for all of those born after 1999 it comes from a film that didn't require CGI .

I have a lovely wallet with the ford logo on the front, the moths like aswell 👍.

You had me right up to that! LOL I have watched Corrie since a kid in the 60s, the writing is simply amazing, with humour & wit often on display that other soaps can only dream of.

It has taught me that all over Manchester, most of the streets are paved with cobbled stone, and hot pot is still the primary dish served in pubs, and you can't beat an eccles cake for desert 🤣

I bought my current Tv as it specifically blocks soaps and reality Tv

If you plug the wallet into ForScan, you can turn the 'moth' option off...

Or upgrade to a Red Admiral like the ST wallets.

Our TV's do the same thing. Never actually sat down to watched a soap, but the clips I have seen while clicking across channels reassure me I'm doing the right thing avoiding them all. TV with celebs in puzzle us too as we don't know most of them. A quick Google and we are none the wiser. 🤣

EastEnders proudly sponsors the Samaritans 😉

Now that's freaky! I use to be in the Samaritans years ago, and often at the end of an EastEnder episode, there was an announcement that if you were effected emotionally by the subject... then they released a number for the Samaritans. I was the one that was in the local BBC studio taking the calls...

I once watched nearly half an episode of EastEnders but had to go outside and throw myself under a passing bus, so i missed the end 🤣

You should have called, I would have advised the correct bus for a clean send off 🤣

Having to wait over TWO hours for a restaurant manager to turn up because some Herbert took the key from the key safe 😡

Watching the download speed at around 50MBPS, suddenly it dropped to around 30MBPS just as the fridge compressor kicked in.  Fridge is probably 20ft from the Xbox.  Not between Xbox & router.  Speed shot back up to 55MB as soon as the compressor cut out again!  Surely that can't be a coincidence?

If the fridge had an old fashioned induction motor in the compressor, then I would be very surprised at that - maybe a kick down a turn-on & turn-off, but induction motors generate almost no high frequency noise while running.

But if it is a newfangled brushless permanent magnet motor, then I would not be surprised at all. These are more efficient than induction motors, but will always generate some high frequency interference. WiFi operates in a non-licensed part of the spectrum, and to get those high bit rates, relies on very low levels of high frequency noise. Even if the fridge met all current EMC specs, it is  likely to have some impact on a nearby WiFi link. EMC specs do allow a reasonable small level of noise to be generated, and actual noise will be extremely variable on the actual situation - There are no hard guarantees at these frequencies - I have been through enough EMC testing in my career to testify to that!

It is a new fridge, but it's the cheapest rubbish to come out of China as that's all that would fit in the slim gap I have available when I needed a replacement.

No idea what type of motor it uses.  The 'FCU' (fridge control unit  ) is programmed so poorly that it spends half the time freezing food in the fridge and the other time virtually cooking it...  The fridge temp control has 9 numbers on it, yet only appears to have 3 settings when testing practically.  Way too hot, way too cold, or somewhere in the middle.

It can't shift heat efficiently when the kitchen is 25c+ (most of the summer months) and has such a poor freezer auto-defrost setup (and no split circuit) that the fridge is regularly above 8c in summer.  It can also sustain food through a short power cut, but then 10 minutes after the power is reconnected it goes through a defrost cycle, which heats up all the food in both the fridge and freezer that would otherwise have been fine!  I have no idea who thought was a useful function...

That's definitely one for the don't like thread...  Hoping to have enough space for a better quality one if I ever move.
