Foam Behind Number Plates!!

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

Got my st... Loving life but I'm changing the number plates (don't want the dealers name on it!) and I'm getting them Sunday hopefully. I notice there's a foam pad behind the rear number plate. What's the best thing to get it off with?

Cheers.

I would leave the foam pad on, it holds the number plate away from the tailgate & prevents the plate from rubbing on the paintwork.

And stops horrid rattles

Do you want to remove it because your putting the new plates on without screws for a cleaner look?

Foam will pull off, remove the leftover glue with a tar remover, halfords sell self adhesive foam strips in different thicknesses to stick the plate back on.
