Central Locking

Hi Guys,

I am having a problem with my central locking on my car and was hoping someone on here could help.

When I press the lock button it will lock the doors and then unlock straight away. The unlock button works on all doors and boot apart from the drivers door I need to unlock it with the key. I know it's only a small problem but it get annoying. If any one can help will be much appreciated.

Hi John, I had a similar problem on my Citroen Xm which turned out to be the door locked switch, and I found it by disconnecting each door harness in turn by unscrewing the door harness connector until I found the one which didn't unlock when the remote was pressed, dismantling the door card to get to the door lock connections I disconnected the connecters until I found the connecter which controlled the door locked switch and as it was integrated into the mechanism I simply left the switch disconnected until I could replace the lock mechanism.

If it locks and unlocks using the key in the drivers door, the drivers door lock motor not worknig. Replace the drivers side motor asm.
