Bensouthall Posted March 27, 2016 Share Posted March 27, 2016 I've asked around and can't get a reply so asking this group cos you'll know..I have a 2000 focus and somebody broke into the car and stole the ashtray/storage draw from the dash ( I know random ) is it a way to Hotwire the car and they got disturbed or is it just a idiot being a pain...fully aware a 2000 plate ain't high on theft list so I'm kinda stumped Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Stoney871 Posted March 27, 2016 Share Posted March 27, 2016 Just random I reckon. Never heard of any immobiliser weakness related to any wiring accessed from behind the ashtray drawer. It's such a small hole that the only wires reachable are the lighter socket ones anyway. The immobiliser system would negate 'hotwiring' anyway.
