Focus seat issue

I have just adjusted my drivers side seat on my 2007 mk2 Focus to a higher seated position and found the left hand side of the seat is not moving upwards when you crank the adjustment lever,the right side adjusts normally in both directions and the higher the seat goes the worse the movement is,it's as if something has come loose or snapped and the seat movement gets worse the higher the seat position is.

Is there a known issue or fault with Focus seats failing or if anybody has had something similar happen to them.

The car's a 07 Focus 1.8 Sport and all the seat adjustment's are the mechanical lever type
