"My Focus is draining coolant faster than I think it should."

I am never really sure quite what is normal for adding water.

Perhaps having to top up more than once a month would be too often?

We had my wife's Mk1 Focus for 8 years and never needed to top up the water, is that  a record?

There's a leak if your having to top up. I have gone between services without having to top up at all.

Also the diesels usually have the aux heater fitted with is an electrical element heater which is a god send on cold mornings. The vents start blowing  warm within minutes which is great for demisting.
