ssray
Our 2006 1.8tdci has always had a stiff knob for the air direction flow bit. The other day it clicked and now is much easier to move but the air flow is only straight at you. Any ideas? Ta Ray
Stoney871
The knob rotates a coiled spring cable with plastic ends that clip into the knob on one end and the vent selector on the other end.It sounds like one of the ends has either broken or come out.It is fiddly but fixable. You'll need to pull out the the radio, unscrew remove the radio surround then unscrew and pull forward the demister switch panel. This will give you access to the back of the knobs to check.Sent from my SM-G930F

Stoney871
Have you found where the other end connects uo under the dash?It can be a faff to find, but if a bit of yellow plastic is still in the socket it should be easier to see.Sent from my SM-G930F
